Hi, up for sale is my 1991 J reg (hi-torque) Toyota Corolla GTI. Its finished in red, and has the legendary 4A-GE engine (bulletproof) it'll run forever. Doesn't pop out of 5th gear either which is a common fault.

I want to start off by saying this car is a classic and is very very rare nowadays, only around 60 on the roads. This is the best colour to have it in. If you're reading this ad then you will know exactly what this car is all about. The car is currently on sorn and has no M.O.T due to having work done to it.

The mileage on the car is 153,000 - This is considerably low for it's age compared to the others about which are on 200k+


I just recently had the car back from welding. I have the receipt here and pictures to prove. Feel free to ask for more pics as I'm very limited to what I can put up.
- Old rear arches have been cut out and new arches have been welded in
- New inner and outer sills
- Rear bootlid glass was taken out and had new metal welded in where it had rust. Then the glass was put back in
- Front wings treated for rust
- These suffer from having rust around windscreen aswell so this has also been treated


General overview:
- Brand new battery fitted yesterday. Started first time without any hesitation.
- Drives really well and pulls like a twincam should - Very fast
- No unnecesary noises. Clutch, gearbox and engine are all nice and tight
- 5 Speed Manual
- Lowered on KONI shocks and Koni lowering springs - Not catching or rubbing
- Previous owner said it had been fully polybushed (handles like a go-kart)
- Comes with all the usual GTI extras such as Colour coded bigger front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and spoiler
- Laguna front splitter finished in gloss black
- Car will be coming with original 14" Corolla GTI wheels
- Sunroof (Currently not working, but was working beforehand. Maybe a fuse has gone?)
- Full V5C logbook present, along with invoices and service history
-Cheap on tax, cheap on insurance, and cheap on fuel. Perfect toy for someone out there
- This can be insured on classic car insurance for peanuts
- You won't find another one like this

- A real oldskool car not to be missed

All in all it's a good honest gti, with a little tlc it will look even better. Very very rare car to see nowadays. All this car needs is a respray or just a spray in the areas where rust has been removed and an M.O.T and you will be ready to hit the roads. Overall paint work is good on the car and is not pink like all the other ones out there. So could easily get the car sprayed in the areas where rust was removed.

Reason for sale is no time to finish. I'd happily keep it and get the spray done over time but it's a shame I can't get it sorted ready for summer.
