Renault Trafic Motorhome Camper van

Location: North East England - Newcastle Upon Tyne
Swap Value: £5.000+

Description:

Selling / up for swap is my much loved 2005 Renault trafic motorhome, 1.9 Tdi , 6 Speed, 112k Miles, 9 months MOT. Air con. 3 Seats up front. 12v / remote 240v from inverter and also 240v external hook up.

Van has 17inch BMW alloys, good extra load tyres (3 Brand new and the 4th about a year old) body coloured bumpers, stainless steel side bars, Alarmed, immobilser, sat nav, reverse camera, CD/USB head unit. Power steering and air con.

The van is a high top long wheel base so much more room, I’d say even a 6ft person could stand up inside it. I’ve had campers in the past and didn’t get on well with all that kneeling down to get changed and make my food etc.

Now to the inside , the rear has been done out to an exceptional level! As you can see on the pictures it’s like a mini hotel room! Has a full size L Shaped sofa/seating area that easy fits 5 people that folds into a double bed. A fold down table, loads of under seat and over head storage, TV with DVD and Freeview. Tinted Windows either side with fitted curtains and also black out drawstring curtains to block all the light. 12v and 240v inverter from a leisure battery that charges when needed from the van. External 240v hook up for on sites. Van has 3 pin plugs throughout that I’ve run drills (when putting curtains up) and a hair dryer , so really does work well ! There also a volt meter in the back to show battery condition and you can switch from the leisure battery to the van battery if needed. All elec runs through a breaker board for safety reasons.

The van also has an option of a smaller child’s bed that folds down from the cupboard space above the sofa area and would still sleep someone upto 5ft easy, this was put in by the owner before me but not finished, so would need a little more work to finish this off, but very easy to do.

Kitchen has a full sized area which you can stand up in and cook on 4 hobs, a grille, loads of drawers and cupboards, 12v cooler box (room for a fridge if needed) a sink with running water with a large water tank under the seat, an extractor fan. And last but not least a caravan cassette toilet that is located in a large seperate wardrobe area, which has a fold down lid that separates it from the wardrobe. I’ve never personally used the toilet but left it in for when I sold the van. I used this space as a warderobe as it’s very big.

I’ve probably missed loads out, but what I will say is it’s amazing how much has been fitted into this van and the finish on the interior is very good indeed! The work that goes into getting a van to this spec is unreal. It wants for nothing and I can’t think of anything else you’d need in a motor home .

Exterior of the van isn’t perfect, has marks here and there , few scratches and faded paint, nothing major though and still very presentable indeed. This never bothered me as I used it to go on holiday in and camp etc, not to put into shows.

This van has been 100% reliable for me , very good on diesel and pulls well. Down as a motorhome on the V5 aswel. Cruises very well and smooth, will do 80mph all day long at under 3k revs so very good indeed on diesel. A pleasure to drive and ready to go on more adventures!!!

All in all a fantastic reliable van, looks great and is like Dr who’s Tardis!!! You could easily live in it. Its just had a service, oil and filters, two new rear wheel bearings with brake discs and pads.
