Here we have my Mercedes Vito 109 cdi long wheel base with aircon which is rare.

It has had a full service in the last 100 miles including engine and gearbox oil and oil filter. Diff oil has been done also. The propshaft oil seal was replaced at the same time as that was leaking also. It’s got a brand new drivers side calliper. Brake pads done all round. Rear hand brake shoes have been done as well as the handbrake cable. Brand new rear discs and backing plates. Anti roll bar bushes have been done and new drop links. Both front arms have both been replaced also. I was chasing a knock which turned out to be just the drop links. This has been fixed now. It has 20” bmw rep wheels. The rear tires are brand new and have about 200 miles max on them. The front two have plenty of life in them also. The van has a basically brand new full exhaust system too.

I’ve had the van coming up to two years now. I originally bought the van for motocross but I’ve given up with it now meaning I don’t have the need for a van anymore. This is why the van has a custom made aluminium 100 lite water tank that utilises the dead space under the driver and passengers seat. This is worth £400 alone.

The van is fully insulated with thermal wrap so it keeps the heat in in the winter and keeps the cold out, under the drivers seat I have fitted a Chinese night heater that runs off the leisure battery. Which brings me to this part about the van it has a leisure battery fitted that is linked to split charge relay that charges off the main van battery while you drive. Also fitted is 240v system so when you’re camping all you do is plug into the 240 plug on the outside of the van and then you have 240 electric inside the van. It has a skylight fitted into the roof. The van is fully ply lined and carpeted. The floor is laminated not cheap lino. The passenger sliding door has been blocked off so I could utilise that one full wall and have cupboard space the full length of that side of the van.

The van is fitted with Bluetooth radio which has cd and usb function that is linked to a amplifier and speakers in the back of the van as the original merc speakers was not good enough.

Bad bits about the van are. The arches are starting to rust, the bonnet paint has some big chips in it and a little peeling and also has a dint in it near the merc badge. The plastic bit under the front drivers side light has a crack in it. The drivers side wing has abit of paint missing also other than that it’s a solid van with a lot of potential as most of the work has already been done.
