Rare opportunity for a rare car... I rescued this over a year ago while I was on a recovery job. Now with my health, I have no hope of completing this. It is a very rare Driver model, which was VW's answer to giving people a 5dr with GTi power. 1.8, I have had it running and driven it. It is a 1991 J reg, Needs lots of welding but is saveable, I was quoted £2k with repair panels to complete the welding, Rear passenger door went from stuck open to stuck closed, roof lining is sagging, and carb needs a rebuild. It has adjustable coilovers, and is set low, it will need to be recovered. I can arrange this at your expense, the car is in storage, I have the logbook. £950 ovno. Collection from Biddenden, Near Ashford in Kent. Currently valued at much more as it sits. And these are selling for over £8k restored. Time is not on my side. I would love it to go to an enthusiast.
