For sale is my 2015 Volkswagen Amarok 2.0-litre diesel, automatic gearbox and 4Motion four-wheel drive, with 214,000 miles.

The vehicle has been used extensively for work over the past three years, having been purchased by me approximately 130,000 miles ago. It has covered some serious ground throughout England and Western Europe, including thousands of miles of long-distance motorway driving.

From substations along the North East coast of England to remote mountainside gas line works in Scotland, as well as journeys across France, Spain and Portugal, it has been a genuine working truck.

I have hundreds of photographs documenting its travels and the places it has taken me. Wherever the job has required me to go, the Amarok has got me there.

Turbo issue. Truck is in limp.

This has been a working vehicle rather than a show truck, so it has accumulated its fair share of dents, scratches and general cosmetic wear around the bodywork.

Mechanically, it remains sound, with a number of key components recently renewed. Everything works as it should. In the interest of full transparency, the tyres will need replacing sooner rather than later, and the front brake pads are wearing low.

Although the mileage is high, a substantial amount has been accumulated through long-distance motorway driving. Have just returned from round trip to Aberdeen.

The locking differential is a particularly desirable feature and, combined with the automatic gearbox and 4Motion four-wheel-drive system, makes this a capable and practical pickup for demanding work and more challenging terrain.

Ideal for someone looking for a genuine working pickup that has been used for its intended purpose, rather than a pristine example that has spent its life on the driveway.
