For sale or swap a very rare vintage classic mid-60s Carlton Cycles of Worksop 'Type S Special' racing bicycle.
Carlton Cycles was a shop originally based in the North Nottinghamshire village of Carlton-in-Lindrick producing hand-made racing bicycles from 1898 up to 1981.
Got this as part of a deal and can't precise the exact year of the bicycle but by the numbering system used and according to history records likely it was made between 1968 up to 1973.
Bicycle in good original condition for age. It does have vintage exclusive accessories as frame attached air pump, luggage holder, mudguards, dynamo powered rear and front lights. Only the seat doesn't look original/period correct. Drive, chain and brakes do work. She needs a full service and new tyres. 27 inches wheels and 54cm frame size.
A classic in the making with very few (if any!) of the 'Type S Special' left. Bicycle ideal for a collector that wants to add this piece of history to their collection.
