Description:
Here is my Calibra SE8
I’ve had this a few years now, kept it well maintained, driven it and enjoyed it but I think it’s time for a change, so here goes
2.0 16v manual (ecotec)
Not long had MOT 11 months left roughly
178k (yes high mileage but read on to see what’s been done to the car)
Black leather
Air con (needs a replacement rubber seal)
Base bin
6x9s
Updated speakers
As i said, had the car around 3-4 years been my pride and joy
Has refurbed Jordan R wheels all new tyres
Brakes were done 18months ago
Cam belt and water pump 2 years ago just before I took it to really retro car show 2023
Upgraded back box (was done professionally, on the car when I got it)
Replacement gearbox (68k mileage from a. Reputable Vauxhall seller) along with clutch and flywheel around 200 miles ago
Overall it’s very clean for its age, I’ve loved owning it just thinking it’s time for a change depending on what gets offered
I currently have the headlining out of it, I installed a shark fin antenna and the headlining needs retrimming so it’s sat in my garage at present
I have various spares to come with the car, rear lights maybe a set or just 1, spare wing mirror, lots of smaller bits and bobs for interior, I had a donar car at one point so kept what I could
The progress of the car has been documented well via Facebook (80s 90s Vauxhall group) I’ve been a member since I’ve owned it, it has lots of old history with it
I’ve had it serviced at least once a year without fail
Doesn’t throw out any smoke at any time, pulls well, starts first time every time and has most of the 134bhp it was made with still in it
Bodywork is showing its age in places, minor bubbles here and there, it’s far from rotten I’ve been under it so has my Vauxhall man numerous times since I’ve owned it, very solid and straight Calibra
Low owners I think, will have to check the logbook
Insurance is around £150 a year as it’s on classic now, very cheap to run, lovely drive gets plenty of attention
It does need an 02 sensor, happened just after I had the MOT done, this along with the headliner are things il do if I get a free weekend but as it’s looking, this is how the car will come
PLEASE - no time wasters, read the advert, see where I am, see what I’m looking to swap before making any offers
No I won’t meet you and ya mates at a service station, if you want to view the car, come with a mechanic or ya misses not a car full of idiots because Il leave the car in the garage and not bother ! Sorry if I sound a d*ck but some people on here just ignore half of what the advert says
