Description:
Here for sale, is my Ford transit LWB RWD 2.4 bulletproof engine 6 speed Gearbox
registered as a 5 seater camper and on v5 on the logbook, so can be drove on normal license very clean van for its age inside and out, The van it self has 4 owners from new first being a London school for transporting children and sports teams they used it for 5 years before selling it on. It was bought by a man living in South West London who played in a band and used it to transport the kit and band around to local gigs, on weekends only. I think he started the conversion into a campervan before selling It on to the last owner in 2016/2017 he said they hardly used as was to big for him so mainly parked up done no more that 2000 miles in that time I then purchased the van July 2024 give the van a fresh look.
The van easily sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. I put a fixed bed at the back of the van slightly wider than a double with a nice thick mattress very comfortable with plenty of storage underneath. Also the front of the van has a rock and roll bed that travels two passengers and pulls out into small double bed very easily takes 2 seconds.
The kitchen unit is set up in the middle of the van with a dometic sink and double hob combination unit, and thetford duplex gas oven and grill cooker (this is still like new hardly used) normal house hold microwave. The sink is ran off a little pump which sits inside a 10l water container underneath the sink which is easy to empty and refill when needed.
Opposite the kitchen unit, is a little seating area with abit more storage underneath. The front seats are swivel seats meaning they both can easily spin 180 making more seating.
There are 4 sockets on the van two at the bottom of the van by the fixed bed and two at the side of the kitchen unit the spot lights are wired in so is the pump for the kitchen sink that work of a switch
The last owner had mentioned about a dual battery system, One battery is for starting and driving the vehicle and the second battery is used for everything else and chargers when the van is running As there is two batteries under the drivers seat and a inverter next to the kitchen unit but it’s not connected so am not sure how it works or if someone has removed part of it ? But this has never bothered me as I use the 240 hook up when camping I have never done any of grid stuff as have two young children and we enjoy it on the little site we go to.
Couple of campers have mentioned about setting up a solar panel system on the roof pretty easy to set up if needed i believe.
The van was on a tachograph when this was removed it no longer shows the milage on the dash the last recorded Milage was in 2018 at 81mk I think this was meant to be in miles as the one before was in miles at 56k in 2015 witch makes more sense the MOT record reads below
2025/2024/2023/2022/2021/2019 shows unrecorded 2018 81km 2016/2017 unrecorded 2015 56k 2013 72km 2012 58km 2011 44km 2010 12k
From 2016/2017 the van has hardly been used, as the last owner said he did no more than 2000 miles in it and myself with driving it back from London and the couple of outings to wales we have done no more than a 50 mile round trip and two trips to Anglesey 120 mile round trip I would say max 1000 miles in little over a year so would say the van has around 85k on it the way it drives and condition body work is in its mint inside and out steering wheel front seats etc have hardly any wear on them
The van has been limited to 62mph all its life so engine has never been abused MOT MAY 2026 some paper work with the van I have serviced the van once in my ownership roughly 85k on engine HPI clear ready to drive away and make some memories
Sliding door glass needs replacing !!
