Description:

Purchased in 2018 and cherished ever since. I bought it when my 'fortunes changed' and I'd be horrified at how much I've spent on it since. Aside from the visual elements in the pics, it's internally perfect. On purchase, it had the *tiniest* cold start misfire. Even though it was inane (it was very subtle and only lasted for the first 20s or so) I spent over 4K trying to track it down. So everything got replaced. Disa, plugs, hot oil engine flushes, plugs, injectors, VANOS, everything. As well as that, its had a new clutch, alternator, roof motor reconditioned/relocated and probably a million other things I can't immediately recall. It's had no expense spared and lived most of it's life in a garage, doing about 4K miles a year. It's a 2.5i, but with a remap and good exhaust system (mildly loud...) so it runs a little quicker than stock. It's also got a good set of coilovers (can't remember the brand) and good Bridgestones.

I'm writing this spontaniously as an exploratory idea to see what else is out there.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I'm starting to favour driving our SUV rather than the raw driving experience. I've got a 'main' daily driver, so I'm after something slightly unusual.

The only issue with the car is that one of the Halo lights (just the halo) has gone. It's probably just a loose or corroded wire. I've also converted my garage into a snooker room, so it feels like a waste having this sat on a driveway and not being enjoyed. I don't think a more special looking can be had for the value. The fact I haven't immediately run out and sorted the halo is a sign to me that I've owned this long enough to consider other options.

Private plate would not be included in sale.

Throw me some wildcards if you're interested! I'm happy to keep it forever, but I've recently realised I'm open to ideas.

I want to swap for

I'll always have a soft spot for convertibles, and slightly more 'exciting' cars. That being said, I'm started to favour comfort. I love vintage stuff too. Pretty much any option can be on the table for consideration. Even something thats actually practical!
