Ok the farm/ruin main building is around 120.00m2, it has recently had a ring beam to protect the walls, its a large project and unfortunately I've now resigned myself self to the fact I will never manage to rebuild/renovate it. The land is mainly terraces, and extends to around 4 acres, lots of trees inc fig, chestnut, plum, apple and eucalyptus. Stream is right next to the building and we have piped water to the building from it, the terraces were originally used for growing veg etc so soil is very good, electric lines are at closest less than 1/2 mile, though it's perfect should you want to go off grid, we had a wind turbine and a hydro generator that gave us all the power we needed, unfortunately stolen whilst left unattended! When we have stayed there we used Vodaphone mobile for internet, with speeds up to 45mbs. no wells or tanks as not needed. we have in the past had caravans on the site so access is ok, though last time I visited it it was very overgrown, the track to it can be rough after the wet season though the local camera will level it if required. As the crow flys the property is around 1 mile from the main road, however to drive you go through eucalyptus forests and its probably around 3 mile from the road, Monchique is around 6 mile away, and Marmelete around 4 mile, the coasts are less than an hour away, you can actually see the coast on a clear day from the farm. Looking to sell or swap for high end motorhome.
To summarise: The property would suit if you like a challenge, it's also very secluded with no neighbours, you would need a 4x4 for access, though when the road is clear it's fine to have caravans etc on it. (I had a caravan and an ex UK post office van parked up on it).
