1999 VW T4 2.5 Diesel – W314 BOJ

I’ve loved owning this trusty VW T4 for almost 4 years — it’s been my reliable daily and weekend camper, but I’m selling now that I’ve got a company vehicle and won’t be using it anywhere near as much. It’s a ‘W’ reg so late 1999/2000, with 158,000 miles on the clock and plenty of life left in it.

What it’s got:
2.5 litre diesel, D5252T Volvo engine conversion fitted by a previous owner — pulls really well and great on MPG.
Tow bar fitted and electrics ready.
Solar panel + leisure battery for camping off-grid.
Front captain seats with swivels — makes the cab comfy for day trips.
Full-width rock & roll bed in the back with 3 seat belts.
6-month-old steel wheels with similarly aged tyres. Original banded steels can go with the van which have newish tyres although one wheel was losing air.

Cruise control and twin exit exhausts.
Recent new windscreen fitted.

Condition (honest):
Rust present as you’d expect for the year, but nothing structural — mainly surface and age-related.
A bit of burn mark on the driver’s seat (was caused by a cheap wing mirror at the time) — wing mirror has since been replaced with a proper one.
Self lubricating engine which leaks from rocker cover.

Includes both an inflatable drive-away awning with carpet and a separate slide-on canopy awning if you want them.

It drives great, is great fun to use, and I’ll be genuinely sorry to see it go. No nasty surprises — just a VW t4 that still enjoys adventures.

MOT: March 26 but happy to get serviced and tested before it goes. Loads of service history.
