Buell 1125R Special Edition

Fort swap is this beautiful Buell 1125R.
These really fell under the radar for most people and you don’t really end up for one of these, you have to want one and then look for the best there is available.
This is the model that sports the Rotax/Buell designed V twin Helicon engine. This thing can really shift and is not for the faint of heart. It is a full Super sport and it is for going fast and getting round corners.
It’s a 2008 special edition registered in 2010 so does not suffer with the blown stators of the CR models or black framed models.
It’s proper old school rider’s bike. It doesn’t have any rider aids, nothing at all. It’s just you and this crazy arsed muscle machine.
I’ve owned this for 8 years and done everything possible to make it go fast and handle like a dream.
I had the ECU tuned to the Torque Hammer II exhaust by Twin Motorcycles in Holland who also supplied the Exhaust. They also supplied the Velocity stacks for the injectors. It also has Targeted Injectors off the later CR model. K&N air filter, new plugs and Motul 7100 oil.
I have a multitude of spares and all the standard parts. There is also a very rare seat by Leatherman and a standard seat. The one that’s on it is an original Buell padded one for comfort.
I’m only putting this up as it scares the shit out of me now and I’m always left trembling after a ride.
If you can’t ride a bike properly, this isn’t for you. I REALLY MEAN THAT!
If you want to swap I suggest you come to have a look first as I’m not listing all the spares or what I’ve done to it. Come and see and you’ll know it’s been worked on. There’s no MOT on it at the moment but I can get that done easily enough and it’s been on Sorn for a year. I’ve got all its history and a folder of receipts.
I’m after a big trail or adventure bike, but will consider anything 1000cc and over, so if your interest is sparked let me know.
I’m in no hurry as I like looking at it anyway but I know if I get it tested I will change my mind about doing this. I have truly loved this bike and am very sad about letting it go, but also know it will kill me eventually.
