Reluctantly swaping my 2009 Subaru Forester XC 2.0 manual. I’ve been the second owner from new, with the vehicle been owned and used as demo by dealership in Scotland and then been bought and spending most of its life in Essex before coming up to the North East. I have the original bill of receipt for the car from the dealership showing the dealership was first owner and then the lady from Essex been the owner before me.

The car has been well looked after, with some service history including maintenance carried out by Subaru dealerships. It drives exactly as it should and is exceptionally solid underneath – unlike many Foresters of this age, and you’d struggle to find another one this solid underneath. It has never been a hedge hopper or had dogs in the back like most of them. The reason I bought it is it had zero modifications completely standard, it had a baby on board sticker in the back window, not your usual forester window sticker haha. So it has been purely used for family car and the lady who owned it she has really looked after it, she must of absolutely loved the car because it’s the best one I’ve seen in the long time and I work on these and Imprezas day in day out.

Good Points:

* Exceptionally solid underneath for a Forester.
* Well maintained with Subaru service history.
* Drives well with no issues.
* Comfortable, practical, and great in all weather conditions.
* Just been serviced about 500 miles ago using millers oil and a genuine Subaru oil filter, with a K&N panel air filter been fitted.
* I will put it through its mot so it will have 12 months mot for new owner.

Bad Points:

* A few age-related marks and minor cosmetic imperfections as expected for a 17-year-old vehicle.
* Recorded as Cat S. I have photographs of the original damage, which was minor and, in my opinion, did not warrant the classification it literally had a hole in the bumper on the offside rear with ZERO structural damage under the bumper. The assessment was completed remotely rather than by a physical inspection. I’m more than happy to show photos of damage.
