Two things to know:
1. There's a "check 12V battery" warning showing on the dash. This is a really common one on the Mk7 GTE — usually the 200A fuse on the 12V battery in the boot, and there's loads written about it on the owners' forums. I haven't had it properly diagnosed, so I'm not going to sit here and promise that's definitely what it is. What I can tell you is the car drives, charges and behaves completely normally with it on.
2. It's due an oil service.
The price reflects both of those. It's cheap for what it is because of them, so please don't message me trying to knock another chunk off for the same reasons.
One more thing, before you run your own check: the HPI comes back with a mileage discrepancy flag. It's down to a single reading logged in August 2021 that's out of step with the MOT records either side of it — 41,168 in May 2021, then 43,149 a fortnight after the odd reading. Every MOT reading before and after runs in a straight line, right through to 99,371 at the last MOT in March 2026. I've got the full HPI report and I'm happy to send it over so you can see for yourself.
