Selling my 2006 Fleetwood Expedition 37U.
It sits on a Freightliner chassis and is powered by the 300 hp 7.2 litre Caterpillar diesel engine. The engine starts on the button, runs very smoothly and has plenty of power. Full automatic gearbox.
It will be serviced and supplied with a fresh MOT for the new owner.
The motorhome has covered approximately 38,000 miles and is fitted with:
Caterpillar 7.2 litre 300 hp diesel
Freightliner chassis
Automatic gearbox
Onan 7.5kW 115V diesel generator
Hydraulic levelling legs
Electric side awning
Slide-out rooms
4 brand-new leisure batteries
Some additional 240V UK sockets
V5 present
The diesel generator works as it should and provides onboard power when you're away from hook-up.
The original 12V-to-115V inverter was faulty, so we removed it rather than replacing it. We have generally either used the diesel generator or plugged the motorhome into mains hook-up. It has four new leisure batteries fitted. Replacement is around £1,500 from the US.
The interior cleans up very well and is in good usable condition, but it is obviously very much of its era. We haven't tried to disguise that it would be a great candidate for someone wanting to give the interior a light refresh and modernise things such as the TVs and some of the furnishings. Equally, it can simply be used and enjoyed as it is.
Externally it presents very well for a 20-year-old American RV and the slide-outs and awning really transform the amount of space when set up.
It does have an enclosed car transporter trailer that was used to transport a classic F1 car in. However the trailer isn't in the best condition but can come with the RV if wanted.
These diesel Fleetwoods make particularly good motorsport/race transporters, long-distance motorhomes or accommodation vehicles due to the amount of living space and the large diesel engine. Can just be parked up and lived in if needed.
This is a genuine used 2006 motorhome, so please don't expect a brand-new vehicle. There are age-related marks and areas that could be improved, but overall it is a very presentable example and mechanically the Caterpillar engine runs extremely well.
Part exchange considered, particularly anything interesting:
Race cars, rally cars, track cars, classic/performance cars, Audi RS models, Quattros etc.
Happy to consider something interesting either way with cash adjustment where appropriate.
Transport can be arranged.
Viewing welcome.
