For sale is my 2018 BMW X3 M40i, finished in Glacier Silver Metallic with black Vernasca leather interior.

I've owned the car for around two years and have looked after it properly throughout my ownership. I'm quite particular about maintenance, so I've always serviced it well ahead of the usual intervals and dealt with anything that needed doing rather than putting it off.

It's powered by the 3.0-litre B58 turbocharged straight-six, producing 360PS, paired with the 8-speed Sport Automatic gearbox and xDrive four-wheel drive. It’s a great combination of performance, comfort and practicality, and the car sounds and drives as you'd expect from an M Performance BMW.

Maintenance and servicing

The car has a comprehensive service history recorded on iDrive, alongside the maintenance carried out during my ownership.

I've changed the engine oil and filter every 5,000 miles, always using high-quality oil and filters. I've also had the gearbox, transfer case and both front and rear differentials serviced.

Around 5,000 miles ago, I fitted four new Pirelli P Zero tyres.

The most recent service was approximately 1,000 miles ago and included:

- Engine oil and all filters
- New brake discs
- New low-dust ceramic brake pads
- New front control arms
- New steering rods
- Four new TPMS sensors

The ceramic pads produce significantly less brake dust, so the wheels stay much cleaner than with standard pads.

I've spent a considerable amount on maintaining the car properly, and the recent work means several important maintenance items have already been taken care of.

- Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, lowering the car by approximately 20mm

- Updated satellite-navigation maps
- Pandora aftermarket immobiliser

The Eibach springs work with the factory Adaptive M Suspension. In my experience, the car remains comfortable in Comfort and ECO PRO, while feeling more planted and stable in Sport and Sport+.

The Pandora immobiliser is an additional security feature on top of the car's factory security system.
