IMPORTANT:
Always install the supplied 6 bar safety relief or a 6 bar WRAS approved safety relief valve for the water heater to function properly. The supplied safety relief valve works fine, but a certified installer may insist on using a 6 bar WRAS approved safety relief valve. Always connect the safety relief valve directly onto the blue side (the water inlet side) of the water heater. If you use the wrong bar safety relief it will lead to excessive calcification on the heating element inside the tank. That will cause the heating element to crack over time resulting in a short circuit.
If you do not use this safety relief valve or a WRAS approved 6 bar safety relief valve the guarantee will be void. Avoid breakdown of your water heater and costly repairs and use the right safety relief valve.
