2000 Aprilia ETX 125

Description:

Aprilia ETX 125(Not Caponord -no option for etx), only 3 sorn and 0 left on road... extremely rare bike.

15000KM (about 9000 miles)

Running easy restoration project. Been stored indoors last 2 years so not been exposed to the elements or weathered.

Came with 2 stroke water-cooled Rotax Racing engines often used in formula go-karts or similar. Pretty nippy for a 125. Has seperate 2 stroke oil tank so proper set up, no messing around with mixing in tank. Had a new piston/ring less than 100 miles ago, still needs bedding in.

Tires look good, no cracking. Brakes are responsive and seem to be good working order but would still check everything through since been off road couple years. Suspension forks have good compression. Seat was replaced shortly before rebuild, no rips or fade. Few age related marks but nothing major. Rear right fascia missing but have replacement and spare for both sides.

Carb been taken apart, both main and pilot blown through, cleaned out, fuel replaced, air filter removed since it was brittle and it started right up after 5-6 kicks so selling as easy running restoration project. Runs on choke but carb needs tuning to make it idle properly. Replaced with OEM Aprilia air filter after and it was harder to start so carb definitely needs setting up.

Other then that, rest is cosmetic. 20+ year old bike so few age related marks. One of the clips on front fascia is broken so wobbles a bit but easy fix with some fiberglass paste. One rear indicator needs fixing back on. Also missing a rear left panel plastic but have a spare pair of rear plastics to go with bike. All easy stuff. It's covered in dust and some cobwebs, needs good clean.

Not been on road for over 2 years but also been stored indoors all that time and had new piston/ring and and is running so selling as easy resto project for either private collector or rider. Collection preferred but can deliver at cost.
