Mercedes one of a kind motorhome.

Location: North West England - Ashton-on-Ribble
Swap Value: £10.000+

Description:

Very reluctant sale of my classic Mercedes, Sherwood. Coach built by spencer conversions.

I have just set up a business and I'm in desperate need of a van. Otherwise, no way on earth I would consider giving up my pride and joy.

This model is a limited edition with only a handful of the bay window models made. The interior is a coach-built one-off design. The craftsmanship is of a high standard.

If you have a budget this is the van for you. Much more bang for the buck than anything else in this price range !!

The main selling points are -

The large bay windows. perfect for pulling up at a lake opening the curtains having a glass or two and enjoying the view. (which I have done many times )

The interior layout. This layout is perfectly designed, with a corner couch opposite the bay windows and a removable table. As this is the limited edition extra wide version it literally feels like you could swing a cat. Everybody who has stepped inside has commented on how large and spacious it is.

The driver and passenger seats also swivel around to make more
seating in the main area, curtains can also be pulled around the cab, which makes it very cozy.

Large bathroom/toilet with a combi boiler. The gentleman who owned this before I had a combi boiler installed for instant hot water.

Low mileage.

Hpi clear.

1 year till mot and tax-exempt

Also has a cooker, fridge, awning, new battery and leisure battery, electric hook up for camping on sites, and also electric for wild camping to charge phones laptops, or watch television, which will come with the van. The van will also come with a brand-new reversing camera.

Battery isolators. you can literally leave it for a year and it will start up perfectly the first time.

This is a very rare coach-built vehicle, but the Mercedes 208 series is very popular so spare parts are very easy to come by and most repairs could be done roadside. Mechanically I have never had a problem with it, it is an absolute tank! With only 63k on the clock, it is
Good for a few hundred thousand more miles!

The only problem I have ever had with it (except for the kids wanting to go away on a school night) was the battery, which I have replaced. I also had the back end completely stripped and replaced with fiberglass panels which are used to build brand-new motorhomes. on the last mot, I had an advisory of rust around the arch approaching the suspension, I had the full engine framework replaced, and is as good as new, structural corrosion will never be a problem again. I have had the wings replaced but need spraying and there are some rust spots on the bonnet and doors. I have been quoted 500 for these repaired,

I will leave everything in the van and it is literally ready to be driven away for your first road trip! I hope whoever buys it has as much fun and makes as many memories as we did.
