Description:
Yamaha XJ1200
Hello! I’m Jonathan, and as you might see from my other listings, I’m a bit of a petrol head. But I don’t really ride much more now so this beast of a bike is going to go as it’s just not getting used enough.
This beautiful YAMAHA XJ1200 has been my pride and joy for nearly four years. I bought it as a gift to myself after passing my bike test – a late bloomer at 52! It was always my dream to own this bike as it used to belong to my neighbour who loved it but had a knee problem so I was able to buy it from him.
It’s only been used for occasional sunny weekend rides, usually down to the local village with a close biker friend to put the world to rights. If you check the MOT history, you’ll see it’s covered only a few hundred miles per year. Despite the low mileage, I’ve kept the servicing religiously up to date with a trusted local motorcycle specialist who knows these bikes inside out.
I honestly spend more time polishing it than riding it – it’s that well looked after. And, as a newer rider, I’ve never pushed it anywhere near its full potential. It’s always been about the experience and the pride of ownership for me.
The bike comes with:
• Full documented service history and folder of receipts
• DATATAG security
• Smart charger
The bike has had new disc brakes all around and they are EBC brakes which the loan cost £250. I’ve also had it serviced religiously and I noticed a very small oil leak on the top locker which I took to the Motorbike shop and they Stripped top part of the engine. Remove the rocker cover replace the oil seals and put a new gasket on there and it’s been perfect since this cost £320 I’ve had new suspension put on it the front light changed for a LED one that makes it look really cool. You can still buy the original ones very cheaply if you want to. Tires are recent Bike? is tagged and alarmed. I probably spent A couple grand on this bike just to make it spot on. I’m not really riding it, and I don’t think I’ve really got the time to with everything going on so good This is a classic Bike? investment as they are only going up in value
If you’d like to come and see it, you won’t be disappointed.
