1986 Mercedes 230TE 2.3 petrol 5 speed manual estate 7 seater in a lovely pastel green (reef green i believe) with contrasting immaculate tan interior. As you can see shes a stunner and you’ll struggle to find another one like this for sale especially with the original mercedes roof box.
Only 3 owners from new and was previously purchased from a deceased estate so although it has paperwork and history it is limited. Has been clearly well looked after and is very clean having covered only 68k miles. The underside is rust free and interior is immaculate. Coming upto its 40th birthday there are of course some defects. The worst of which are in the pictures. She starts first time, drives lovely and smooth but i think somebody mechanically minded would need a bit of time with it to make it perfect. The brake pads need changing and there is a humming noise (like a calliper binding) and could probably do with a good service to freshen everything up.
Comes with a full years MOT and will be road tax exempt from next year so running costs are minimal. This model is not to be confused with the normal 5 seater as it is the sought after 7 seater version with the rear facing back seats. All in all the colour, interior, roof box, 7 seats and originality make it a hard to come by classic with plenty of appeal. The attention it gets is ridiculous. Also has a sunroof but its currently pointless due to the roof box.
Needs a bit of time and effort to make perfect and having taken everything into consideration it is priced really well. Not really looking to part exchange or swap etc as the whole point of selling is for space and to fund projects i have on going. Saying that hit me with what you have and i might be tempted
No offers as its been drastically reduced to sell. Similar cars without the roofbox in ‘normal’ colours with double the miles are listed at over £12k
