VW GOLF MK1 GTi Cabriolet.

Location: East Midlands - Bilsthorpe
Swap Value: 1 penny

Description:

Will combine all my items if need to.

Selling my VW GOLF MK1 GTi CABRIOLET. I have had this little beauty for about a year now, I have used/driven it occasionally and was going to take it off the road to do a bit of a freshen up in the engine bay, unfortunately I am losing my workshop so it is not going to happen....

.......SELLING AS AN ON GOING PROJECT.....

At the moment the golf is not fit to drive as a water pipe split, I have replaced the split water pipe, but now the car is struggling to start/tick over, I think I must have dislodged some electrical connections during the replacement of the water pipe, so it would need to be collected with a trailer or recovery vehicle.

The car is classed as an historic vehicle on the log book, which is here and in my name, the previous keeper did all the paint and body work.

This was going to be a little project for me until I was informed my workshop was going to be demolished to make way for more houses..... so here it is up for sale.

The previous owner drove the GTi from near Wales, all the way to me, near Nottinghamshire, so that shows he was confident of the car, I have driven it to the odd car show etc, and at weekends when the sun is out and it still turns a few heads.

The colour is called "capri green", the manual hood is in vgc although there is no inner liner, I was going to get one fitted, but am not going to get there now, please study the pics as they form a huge part of the description, every one has a different opinion so please be realistic, it does have some bits that require attention, on the passenger rear quarter the paint has started to crack and there are a few little marks/scratches etc but is still a useable classic, any questions please get in touch.

Car has recently had a set of 4 x new tyres fitted, has the "old school" immobiliser too, there are a few little things to finish but nothing too major, the rear number plate lights need fitting, stereo not wired up, driver side door lock mech needs tweaking.

This little classic golf has the making of a great little car, in the right hands, once all the little bits have been addressed.

I have some pics up of the car when it was at the paint shop so you can see how much work went in to the golf to get it to where it is now.

I want to swap for
