Early Bowler 88” Comp Safari racer…. Road registered! Tax and MOT exempt. Rover 3.5 V8, rebuilt Webber 500CFM carb on Edelbrock manifold. 4-2-1 tubular exhaust manifolds. Coil sprung running twin shocks at the rear , polybushes fitted, power steering, Range Rover axles/diffs with disc brakes all round. Aluminium fuel cell. 5 speed gearbox with Ashcroft adapter plate to run Ashcroft series 3 transfer box…. Selectable 4x4 —-rear wheel drive fun! Internal/external roll cage, bucket seats. New fuel lines,
Aluminium radiator, new water pump, thermostat, hoses etc. full engine service. New radiator fan with digital controller. MSD digital 6A ignition system, MSD Blaster 2 coil , Facet Red top fuel pump. Starts and drives well but not for the shy……. I’ve been driving around in it and it attracts a lot of attention. Very straight and excellent condition for an ex racer. Could race again and I’d say it would be competitive as lively and well balanced. Consider swap with standard Series Land Rover.
