Description:
2012 Alfa Giulietta JTDM-2 2.0 top of the range veloce model. Presented in the most desirable Etna metallic black paint. Every option box ticked at original purchase including the boot mats, £35 a year tax, and 62mpg (quoted by Alfa). Stylish and economical, drives great, with a nice six speed manual. Recent new Goodyear tyres and replacement intercooler (known fault) currently in for a full service and an updated oil pickup washer (a preventative measure with updated part for a known fault on the JTDM-2 engine). See pics for condition. New rear springs recently fitted. Current MOT until 30th of June, but will put a full ticket on it for the right swap, check out the MOT history on the government website, it’s been super reliable and very well maintained. There’s a decent amount of service history too.
More pictures available, but they don’t really do it justice the paint is really lovely, I’ve tried to show it best I can!
Jumping the gun a bit with this, just to see what interest there is, it will be available as of the 13th May. Previously my brother’s pride and joy (a change of his job meant change of car, so when he said he was going to sell it I jumped at it) I thought it would be an ideal upgrade for my 18 year old son’s 1.2 Corsa. Wanted to make sure it was mint for him so read up everything that’s an Alfa quirk on them and booked it in for a couple of preventative bits so it would remain good long term for him. Also booked it in for a full decontamination, cut and polish of the paintwork, on a labour exchange with a mate of mine with 30 years bodywork experience. unfortunately the insurance quote I got for it was £2,700 for him, which I’m sure purely by coincidence is the insurance value they put on the car, not that they just make it up as they go along and ripoff young drivers, obviously. Having had a good chat about it he’s going to keep the corsa and have a really nice holiday with the money. But as I’m a man of my word I’m still going to let my mate do the paint restoration before it goes (the boys birthday is the 12th of may so it’s booked in just before then, hence ready on the 13th). I had chance today to give it a quick wash to make sure my description is accurate as it looks perfect at first glance, on close inspection there are a few stone chips, a couple of light scratches that will be removed when the paint correction is done and a one tiny bit of lacquer (about 10mm square) that’s loose on the drivers side front wing, but I’ll see if I can get that repaired when it’s detailed. Overall for a 14 year old car it’s in very good order.
It’s a really nice car that drives really well, but I’ll never get my wife to part with the fiesta st she’s had for the last 17 years, so have no use for it. As the money for it has already left our account, my wife won’t be upset if I swap it for a tow car for our motorhome (we’ve been talking about getting one so we can head to Europe for a bit), so looking for a smart roaster coupe, Honda beat, Diahatsu copen, Suzuki cappuccino or something along those lines.
If you want any more info/pictures or anything else just give me a shout!
Thanks
Paul
