N14) Restoration Project – Solid Shell & Extensive Spares Package
It is with some hesitation that I’ve decided to part with my Nissan Sunny GTI. This car has been a long-term passion project, and I have put in the hard hours to ensure the chassis is solid. It is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a high-quality, rust-free N14 base to finish a build, rather than starting from scratch.
The Vehicle
• Model: Nissan Sunny GTI (N14)
• Engine: Pre-'94 High Port SR20DE (Out of vehicle, ready for rebuild)
• Mileage: ~150,000 (Shell)
• Condition: Rolling project with extensive structural work completed.
The Highlights (Why this is a great project)
The most difficult and expensive part of owning an N14—the structural integrity—has already been addressed.
• Structural Work: Over the last decade, I have fully sorted the bodywork. The rear wheel arches were professionally done, and the floor pans have been welded.
• Chassis: The boot floor, rear suspension mounting areas, and sills are all solid. This is a very clean, well-preserved shell that has been saved from the rot that typically claims these cars.
• Provenance: This car has history. It was a show car in 2014/2015 (see attached photos of it at Japfest) and comes with original literature, including the original sales brochure and a magazine feature from when it was in its prime.
Included Inventory (The "Spares Package")
This sale includes a comprehensive package of spares to help you complete the build:
• SR20DE High-Port Engine (removed for rebuild).
• Genuine Nissan Pulsar GTi-R wheels.
• Two spare gearboxes.
• Spare rear arches (plastic) and various spare plastic trim/body panels.
• Spare side skirts.
• Original Nissan Sunny GTI spoiler (The car currently has a Pulsar spoiler fitted).
Current Status & Requirements
I am being 100% transparent about the car's current state so there are no surprises:
• Engine/Mounts: The engine is currently out of the car. Please note that the engine-side and body-side mounting brackets, as well as the rubber engine mounts, are missing and will need to be sourced or fabricated.
• Ignition: The keys were lost during storage. I had to break the ignition barrel/steering lock to move the car, so a replacement barrel and key set will be required.
• Documentation: I have the V5C and some associated paperwork for the vehicle.
Price & Terms
Asking Price: £5,000 O.N.O.
I am in no desperate rush to sell, but I have reached a point where I cannot finish the project. This is a high-quality, honest foundation for a proper build. I am happy to discuss the price with serious enthusiasts who understand the value of the work already completed and the rarity of the parts included in this package.
I will pull it out of the garage when I get some time off and get some better pictures
