The previous owner owned the car from 1996 until 2025, so it has had just four owners throughout its life.

A reconditioned engine, sourced from MR2 Ben (which had covered 60,000 miles) has been fitted by a Toyota main dealer, with receipts available to prove the work.

A considerable amount of preventative and maintenance work has recently been carried out, including:

Cam belt
Gaskets
Radiator
Coolant hoses
Battery
New tyres
Refurbished alloy wheels

There are receipts for all the work, with over £4,500 recently spent on the car.

The bodywork is in very good condition for a 30-year-old car, and the sills have been professionally replaced.

The alloy wheels have been refurbished and the car has recently had new tyres and a new battery.

The paintwork would benefit from a professional mop and polish in places, but overall the car presents very well and is in genuinely great condition for its age.

Points to note;

As with any 30-year-old car, there are a couple of minor points worth mentioning:

There is a very slight tear to the leather driver's seat bolster. Both seats are otherwise in very good condition.

The original stereo/CD head unit has been replaced with a Bluetooth/DAB system. Personally, I prefer the replacement system.

Occasionally, the sump-level warning lamp (float switch) illuminates for no apparent reason. The oil level is correct when checked on the dipstick.

I would ideally like to see the car go to an MR2 enthusiast who will appreciate what an excellent example this is.

This is a genuinely lovely car and, although I would like to keep it, old Fords seem to appeal to me even more for some reason!
